Yesterday's meeting of the Hospital Trustees waa attended by Messrs P. Miller (chairman), J. Robin,- J. Green, W. Wills, J. Carroll, J. N. Brown, S. Myers, and W. Wright. ; The Finance Committee reported that salaries and accounts for September amounting to £635 0a 41 had been passed for paymerit. The receipts. for September were £l6B 93 3d, and for October £13117s BJ. The bank book showed a credit balance ot £263 ils lid. The Government subsidy and contributions for the financial year ended 31st of March, amounting to £27- lis Bd, had been, received, and. the Committee recommended that the money be placed to the credit of the building fund account.— The report was adopted. - . The House Committee reported that the tender of; Messrs Morgan and Co. for repairs and top-dressing the asphalt, amounting to £l7 103, had been accepted, and that Nurse Allan had been appointed matron of the Patea Hospital. Since the establishment of the nursing school five, nurses had been appointed to similar positions, and one nurse had accepted ah important position in the Lincoln Agricultural School.—The report was adopted.
Mr C. H. Statham wrote enclosing a cheque for £l9 63 83, dividend from the Russell Trust Fund.—Received. It was resolved that .the circumstances of outdoor patients be investigated by the secretary fromithe>lßt of: next month,'and that all recommendations for treatment be signed by the. seoretary. t • 'Mr G. Brown was appointed collector of annual subscriptions to-the hospital.
