[Special to the Star.]
WELLINGTON, October 19. The Queen's Drive have nominated Mr James Mills as president of the New Zealand Amateur Rowing Association for the ensuing season. This being the only nomination received, Mr Mills will probably be elected unopposed. The secretary of the Association informs me that the order paper closes on the 2-tth inst., and so far he has not received any notice of motion from Dunediu in regard to the selection of the course for this season's championship regatta. The Waaganui clubs have not been dilatory in the matter, and havo s given cotioe to move that the Wanganui River be chosen as the course.
