AN ALLUVIAL RUSH.
AND OTHER VALUABLE FINDS. [Per Press Association.—Copyright.] PERTH, October 19. An alluvial rush at Kanowna is causing considerable excitement. Sensational finds are reported. On Friday Whelan bottomed and obtained 20oz of gold in one dish, and two dishes of stuff from tho same claim yielded 50oz. Other claims are equally ,rich. The prospector (Hellings) secured 120oz. About 600 men are at the new find, sinking in cement which averages 20ft to 50ft in depth. The lead is proved for over a mile long. The rich chute recently struck in the Londonderry mine continues to yield enormously rich specimens. Thirty men working at the Leviathan' •battery, Goblgardie, have been arrested for alleged gold stealing. from the battery ; plates.
