ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
The man James Pollock, who sustained severe injuries to his skull by a fall at Watson's Hotel on Saturday, is progressing favorably, and was operated upon at the hospital by Dr Brown this afternoon. . A Chinese _ boy, seventeen years of age, committed suicide on Saturday by jamping off the Manuherikia Bridge, near Alexandra. His body has not been recovered. William Brodie was accidentally drowned in the Tamaki River, Auckland.
At the inquest held yesterday on George Sinclair, who died from exhaustion consequent on cancer of the mouth, both the doctor and the jury advised the owner of the house to destroy all the property about the place, as it was dangerous to -public health.
