Brokers * QUICK AND SMITH, Dunedin. Interim Secrbtary : E. B. CARGILL, Dunedin. The Company is formed for the purpose of acquiring and working as a dredging claim two claims on the Kyeburn,- River, at present held by R. HosieandT. J. Ferguson. Tho claims include together two miles of the river, commencing at the boundary of the Pioneer Claim and terminating down at Harris's Crossing. The river is particularly suitable for dredging. It is not subject to dangerous floods, it is not burdened with large, boulders, arid the wash is of that loose, gravelly nature' which is most easily treated on the- tables; the ground, too, is goldbraripg from top to bottom, so that there will be no waste of energy in stripping. This river was one of the. first places in whioh gold was discovered in Central Otapjo. In early days a large portion of. the. upper end of .the river was worked by the slow piooess of stripping and cradling; and even working in this way it was no uncommon thing for miners to obtain magnificent returns.

The Upper Kyeburn has proved itself to be one of the most prolifio gold-produciDg fields in the Otasco district.- ■ The whole ground in the locality is highly auriferous; and the area inoluded in the present claims would have been worked long ago but for the difficulty of there being too much water to contend with for the ordinary process ot box sluicing. This«difficulty will be overcome by the application of steam dredging, returns will be obtained from the claims by thb process. , The ground is known to miners in the locality -to be nobly gold-bpanng v and nearly 1,000 Shares nave bgen subscribed for in the dis trio t. In addition to this the claim? have been carefully prospected by the Vendors, and M&W* IL'Cutten's .Report, Bhowjng the value and-nature of the ground, can be seen at the Broker's Office. .. '''":\ Thecost of,, floating and incorporation to be* bojne by the Company; The cost of appli-: cation, rent to. date, etc. {not exceeding in all £7O), will also be borne by the Company. - - Shares will be allotted according to.priority of • application;--Proßpectua'and Formsoft Application may be had from the Secretary; the Company 'a Brokers, oj tip Sojicitore* . • "" -.
