PALMERSTON NORTH, October 18. Nominations for special points, for prizesof £SO each in four classes in connection with the forthcoming A. and P. show, were received oh Saturday.. The number of competitors in each class is as follows:—Draught horses, .7 •_- competitors; shorthorns,' JJ ; Lincolns, 5; Romneys, 8. The minimum number of entries required in each class was three, so that the nominations were satisfactory; The show of draught horses, Romneys, and Lincolna is expected very large. At a meeting on Saturday 103 new members ' were „ elected, arid judging from the entries already received the show E' remises to be the most successful yet held y the Manawatu.Association.
