LONDON, October 15. The shipbuilders have compromised with the Associated Boilermakers by reverting to the 1892 agreement, by wiich the men jvere allowed an hour's walking time. The boilsrmakers are indignant at the action of the society, and. repudiate the decision arrived at.
The headquarters of the New Zealand Workers' Union have been, shifted to Timaru. Mr Anthonv Mills has been appointed president of the union (embracing the whole colony), and Mr W. L. Gordon, of the Timaru branch, general secretary.
