A FOWL IS AN ANIMAL.
WELLINGTON* Octobeb 15. ~ Mr-Justice Edwards to-day gave a decision in which he held that a fowl is an animal within the meaning of the Impounding Act, 1884. The case arose out of the destruction of a fowl which was trespassing on a man's property. The justices m the lower court held that a fowl was nbt.an .animal within the meaning of the Act* and that therefore the statute did not require notice to be fiven to the owner or the police. Hia Conor decided that the decision of the justices could not be upheld. -
