CONDENSED CABLEGRAMS.
The Hon. S. Burt, Attorney-General of Westralia, haa resigned. Declonet was found guilty of a murderous assault on his wife at Bathurst (New South Wales) and sentenced to death. The jury recommended prisoner to mercy on the ground that the shooting waß the outcome of the wife's misconduct.
The whole Italian fleet will in November make an attempt to mobilise within fortyeight hours. Mr Henry Perkins, secretary of the Marylebone Cricket Club since 1877, has resigned.
The arbitrators selected by England and America to settle the Venezuelan boundary difficulty will meet in Paris next summer. F. De Martens, the Russian international authority, is to act as umpire. The Cretans still insist upon the withdrawal of the Turkish troops as one of the conditions of the acceptance of the scheme of arbitration for the island proposed by the Powers.
