. The installation of Bro. Frederick Ansdell as W..M. of-the Lodge of Otago, No. 7, was held last night. The Most Worshipful Grand Master, Bro. William Barron, was present, accompanied by tha following grand officers:—R.W. Bro. A. H. Burton, P.D..G.M.; R.W. Bro. J. A. Kirby, P.G.S.: R.W. Bro. Rev. William Roualdson. G.S.; V.W. Bro. Arthur Clothier, A.G.S. ; V.-W. Bro. Rev, W. H. Browne, G.C ; V.W. Bro: C. J. Ronaldson, P.G.D.; V.W. Bro. H. Wetherilt, P.G.S. of W.; V.W. Bro. A. J. Barth, P.G.0.; V.W. Bro. H, Lippert, A.G.P.; V.W. Bros. Alberti and Barton as G. Stewards. The installation ceremony was impressively performed by R.W. Bro. A. H. Burton, tho oldest P.M. of the lodge, whose connection with the lodge dates back to 186 S. The address to the W.M. was delivered by the M.W.G.M., that to tha wardens by W. Bro. Alberti, and to tho brethren by W. Bro. C. J. Ronaldson. The working tools of the various degrees wera presented by W. Bros. J. T. Laing, Jos. Barton, and Thos. Ross. The treasurer submitted a statement of the funds of the lodge, which showed that the general fund bad a very satisfactory balance, while the benevolent-iund had now reached the sum of £SO. The musical part of the ceremony was well rendered by the lodge choir, and solos were given by Bros. Salmond and Clothier. A fraternal visit was paid by several members of the Lodge of Dunedin.
