PRETORIA, October 11
A select committee of the Volksraad have submitted a report recommending that a reduction be made in railway freights on foodstuffs, coal, timber, and mining machinery. The suggested reduction ranges from 30 to 40 per cent. The Committee also recommend that the direct taxes on the people be readjusted so as to afford large relief to small taxpayers.
