THE NATIVES’ ASSOCIATION.
WELLINGTON, October 8. The local branch of the New Zealand Natives’ Association had a discussion over the question of affiliation with other branches and the admission of women (which is allowed' here but prohibited elsewhere). It was proposed to hold a conference on both questions, but the matter was ultimately adjourned. The Association placed on record a resolution emphatically denying in any way that they were a political body. . The Right Hon. Mr Seddon and the-.Hon* Mr J. M’Kenzle were elected hon. members.
