The monthly meeting of the St. Leonards Committee was held on Monday night. The balance-sheet of the bazaar held on the 9th and 10th of September, showing a net amount of £36 163 7d placed to the credit of the school improvement fund, having been read and confirmed, the Chair' man stated that the Committee should feel gratified at the success obtained, and it was unanimously resolved to place upon the minuteß a " vote of thanks to the lady members of the Bazaar Committee and their assistants for the hearty and assiduouß manner in which they had worked to secure such a satisfactory result" ; and also a vote of thanks to the donors of materials and money to the bazaar. It was agreed to dist temper and varnish the inside of the school, to re-asphalt the paths; spread top soil on playground and sow in grass—the distempering and asphalting to be done during the holiday recess, but the work on the playr ground to be proceeded with at once. "The sum of £2 10s was donated to the school library fund.
