Ten per cent, of the purchase money is payable pn:the 14th inst. New Zealand mutton prices: Cross-bred wethers and maiden ewes—Canterbury, 3 3-16 d per lb ;.. Dunedin and Southland, 3Jd ; North; Island. 3 l-16d. The above quotations are for average, quality, and for lines of not less than 100 carcasses. ' Lamb : Prime Canterbury (321b to 421b per carcass), 3|d per lb; fair average, including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington, and secondary Canterbury (321b to 421b) 2§d per lb. The quotations for lambs do not include sales of small lambs or heavies or inferior qualities. ; ; River Plate sheep.: Cross-breds or merino wethers—heavy 2-fd per lb, light 2fd.
