Mr Paulin advised us at 3 30 to-day : "The weather is in a very unsettled condition, and at 4 a.m. yesterday the barometer registered 28.12 in, the lowest reading recorded by myself. During the next twenty-four hours rain showers will occur in most portions of our island, with winds changing from S.W. to N.E., and unsteady barometer and heavy weather between Hobart and New Zealand, with electrical disturbances."
