Mr E. A. Cleland, the adjudicator in the recent telegraphic' match between the Oamaru and Christchurch Chess Clubs, has forwarded his award, which makes the match a draw, seven wins each. Bicycles.—Cooke, Howlison, and Co. take second-hand bicycles in part payment of new ones; so_ intending purchasers of new mounts should give a call. “ Records ” are neither reduced in quality or price.—[Abvt.]
