MINING NOTES. Auckland, September 29.—The Otago syndicate have abandoned the option over the Great Barrier gold and silver mine, and the shares have dropped to buyers 2s 3d, sellers 4s 6d. The ' Dunstan Times’ states that tbe Molyneux hydraulic dredge washed up on the IBth inst. for Boz lOdwt 9gr, value £32 16s, making a total of 27oz7dwt21gr for the week. The dredge washed up again on Thursday 230z 7dwt logr, value £B9 19s Gd, for four days. The Ophir and Ind dredge has' been sold for £2.700 to the Kyeburn Dredging Company, to be placed on the claim for that amount. From the ‘Tuapeka Times’ we learn that the Pleasant Valley Company washed down on Wednesday for 450z IGdwt Ggr, value £17115s 6d, this being the return for ten days. The Roxburgh Amalgamated Mining and Sluicing Company washed down No. 2 high lift last week for 12fioz, after about a fortnight’s run. There will be another two wash-ups this week, as the month ends on the 30th inst.
