The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Hand and Heart Lodge was held last evening. Three members were elected. The delegates to the half-yearly district meeting, held at Lawrence, reported, and expressed their opinions on the business transacted at the meeting. P.P.C.S. Bro. Black referred to the kind reception accorded the delegates by the members of the Loyal Tuappka Lodge. P.G.M. Bro. Brundell, on behalf of the Official Handbook Committee, presented P.G. Bro. Watson with a walking-stick, and referred to the vert zealous manner in which Bro. Watson had carried out his duties as secretary of the Handbook Committee. N.G. Bro. Horne, on behalf of Bro. Watson, suitably responded. Bros. Sligo and West contributed to the harmony of the evening. P.G. Bro. Gillespie (Loyal Palmerston Lodge), N.G. Bro. Smith (Loyal Valley Lodge), P.P.G.M. Bro. Deaeon (Loyal Dunedin Lodge), and Bro. Hunt (Loyal Leeston Lodge) responded to the second toast. P.G.M. Bro. Brundell and D.P.G.M. Bro. Hamel responded to the third toast on behalf of the district. The receipt of members’ contributions amounted to £43 7s sd.
