ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
At the inquest on the body of the infant found in Auckland an open verdict was returned. The c >roner, Dr Philson, expressed the opinion that the infant had been smothered.
The body found in the Molyneux on Saturday was identified at the inquest as that of John Drysdale, who was drowned while going off in a boat from the Roxburgh dredge on the 21st June last. A verdict of Accidentally drowned ” was returned.
