CONDENSED CABLEGRAMS.
British advisers have, been appointed in connection with the Egyptian provincial prefectures.
Mr Chamberlain has lost £co 000 in connection with the cultivation of sisal fibre in the Bahama Islands. Tne bubonic plague in Surat, Poona, and Laroda and the southern Mahratta districts is causing great uneasiness. . rinderpest is causing great destruction m South Africa, One-tenth of the cattle in Cape Colony have succumbed.
