CALCUTTA, September 23. Major Desitoeux's gallant defence of Fort Galistan against the desperate attacks of the rebels is much applauded. Brigadier-general Elles has captured Bedamia Pass. • September 24. Details of the capture of the Bedamai Pass by General Elles's force show that the 20lh Regiment of Punjab Infantry, including two companies of Afridi troops, stormed the Pass, and occupied the village beyond after a stiff fight. The mollah of Suffi, with 2,000 followers, has reinforced the Hadda tribesmen at Jarobi.
