LONDON, September 24. Messrs Gibson Bros.' Australian chaser Daimio has been entered for the Grand Sefton Steepleohase, to be run at the Liverpool autumn meeting. At the Manchester September meeting Mr Jersey's Amberite won the Sale Stakes by a neck, and was afterwards purchased by Prince Solfeykoff for 700 guineas. The final deposits for the sculling match for £IOO a side between Barry and Towns (of Sydney), to be rowed on the Thames on Monday, have been posted. There is no betting over the event.' Jack Hellings, from scratch, won the 60 Yards Swimming Handicap at Ealing in 33 2-ssec. Lindberg (of Sydney) and Stratton (of New Zealand) won their heats, but were unsuccessful in the final. Gray's Australian starting machine will be fiven a trial in the Welter Handicap at fewmarket races on the 30th inst.
