Mails will close at 10 a.m. Correspondence must be specially addressed. Parcel mails for the United Kingdom, etc., will close at 9.30 a.m. Late letters, mail van, North express, at 11 a.m. SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE. Wednesday, September 29. For Northern Ports, Samoa, Sandwich Islands, United States of America, Canada, South America West Indies. United Kingdom, and Continent ol Europe, at 10 a.m. Money orders at 9.15 a.m„ book packets and newspapers at 9 a.m., 29th. correspondence at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage (2Jd) as a late fee, can be posted in the mail van attached to the North train, leaving Dunedin railway station at 11 a.m. on the 29th. The above mail will close at the branch Post .Offices, North Dunedin and South Dunedin—for money orders and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 28th; letters at 9.30 a.m., and newspapers at 5 a.tm on the 29th. At the Port Chalmers Office at S.qo a.m. on the 29th; money orders at 4p m and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 28th. Mails for Tahiti will dose at Wellington on tho 25th inst., at 11 a.m. Mails for Rarotonga and Tahiti will close at Auckland, per Upolu, at 4 p.m. on 29th inst. Mails for Chatham Islands, per Kahn, close at Lyttelton on Ist October, at 8 p.m. Mails for Puysegur Point, Cromarty, and Tuanarpa, per Invercargill, will close at Invercargill on the 30th, at 1.30 p.m. (Signed) Edm.
