BRISBANE, September 22. A meeting of sugar manufacturers and sugar mill company directors adopted resolutions asking the Government to assist the industry in the present crisis by inducing the other colonies to follow the example of Victoria and place a countervailing duty on bounty-fed sugar. The meeting considered that the only real help that could be afforded would be through Federation giving them possession of the colonial markets.
