LAWRKNCE, September 20. Two local lads, charged with having burglariously entered Mr J. C. Arbuckle'a premises and having taken therefrom a quantity of jewellery, Were brought before the local justices this morning and remanded till Friday morning to give the police a further opportunity of collecting evidence. A young _man named Claffey, while engaged footballing at Waipori yesterday afternoon, had the misfortune to get one of his legs broken.
The weather continues very unsettled, rain showers being frequent..
