Vogan's statement, that in an interview at Sydney he.expreßßed himself favorable to the Tauranga tramway scheme, that this is a misconception, as he did not give any opinion on the subject, What he did say was that if the Act of 1894 was nob found suitable the promoters might consider whether the Railway Construction Act of 1881 would meet their purpose.
