SLY GROG-SELLING AT STEWART ISLAND.
INVERCARGILL, September 16. Joseph Harrild, of Stewart Island, to-day pleaded guilty to a charge of sly grog-selling, and was fined £ls. Informations against two other Stewart Island residents are to be heard this afternoon. The Magistrate stated that as the penalties inflicted in the past seemed to be no deterrent he would, unless there were, very special reasons for acting otherwise, impose the full penalty allowed by law in all future cases.
