The members of the Wellington football team had a cordial send-off at the railway station this morning from a large crowd, including the majority of the Otago representatives. Cheers were exchanged on either Bide.
At Wellington on Saturday, under Association rules, the final round for the New Zealand shield was played. The Ruahine team, composed of masters and boys of Wanganui College, defeated Wellington by two goals to nothing. The shield .becomes the property of the school for a year.
