VERY SATISFACTORY DECISION.
WELLINGTON, September 11
The Cabinet have decided to allow it to be optional with volunteer corps whether they retain the present uniforms or adopt the kharkee dress. There is much discontent at the prospect of having to adopt the new uniforms, and as the Premier found that in England they have what is known as dress service uniform, varying in different companies, the Government have decided to amend the regulations accordingly.
