TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — The extract in your issue of the Bth, although no doubt interesting, is inaccurate. I received a copy of the paper ‘ The Organist and Choirmaster,’ and the article on organs and organists of New Zealand in respect to the South Islaud is full of inaccuracies. I think the highest salary paid to an organist is £IOO in Dunedin, instead of £125 as given ; and I am sorry to say that I am not one of those fortunate enough to receive that sum. Mr T_ndall, of Christchurch Cathedral, receives a "salary of £230, instead of £l4O, as stated.—l am, etc., _ ' Jesse Timson. Dunedin, September 10
