MELBOURNE, September 10. According to the ‘Age,’ the leading financial agents are beginning to speak seriously about the withdrawal of English investors from the colony, due largely to the fact that a double income tax has to be paid—Bd in England and Is 4d in Victoria. Three firms report a withdrawal since 1896 of over £600,000.
