This amount will be available when probate is granted to the execmtors of tho late vendor. DAIRY FREIGHTS. ' At the meeting of the North Island branch of tho National Dairy Association, held at Welling, ton yesterday, the freight question was discussed, and a committee waß set up to consider what terms should be asked from the Bhtpplng com< panies and from the Government for the carriage of dairy produce during the ensuing season. It was also agreed that the Committee should, suggest to the shipping companies that shippers "of butter and cheese should be allowed a separate hold for their produce instead of having it placed underneath frozen meat, where frequently its removal was delayed, at considerable loss to shippers. The Committee subsequently presented a report recommending that the freight rates arrangements asked for by the North Island branch be adhered to, excepting that the contract shall be for three years, and not five, as stated in the letter under date July 21, and that freights be charged on gross weight, but so that the freight on the net weight does not exceed the rates asked, any contract made by the Association to apply to Association produce only. The report was adopted, and the Committee were instructed to interview the Railway Department with regard to railway freights.
