OUR PREMIER AT HOME.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— Oue trusts that the Premier will remember, when enunciating his ideas, that he is simply a delegate from New Zealand, one of Her Majesty’s most loyal of colonies, and not "stumping” to his “dumb dogs.” Fancy ! dictating as to commercial treaties and the investment of trust funds. Who would invest these in New Zealand at present, when no roan’s property is safe? And what would be the outcry were England to adopt a protective tariff for colonial produce? Much as one may admire some points in the Premier’s political career, one trusts Mr Chamberlain’s invitation will not hasten his relegation (sic) to the front Opposition benches.—l am, etc., Lumper. Dunedin, June 14.
