ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

James Andrew, about fourteen years of age, residing in Cumberland street, met with a nasty accident ye>terday afternoon. He was engaged at Mr Bauley's (chemist) shop, George street, near Hanover street, washing bottle*. One of the bottles, containing sulphuric acid, burst, and the acid severely burned the lad about the face and hands. He was taken to the hospital, where his injuries were attended to. Somerset Bond (single, and aged twentytwo years) was killed by a falling tree at fe jjoro, near Otaki, yesterday.
