CIRCUMSTANCES ALTER CASES.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— Referring to a case which was recently brought before the City Police Court namely, Morrison (inspector of nuisances) v. Seelye and Smithson—in which the defendants were charged with allowing to be suspended from their premises by certain members of the Cycling Club a calico sign across the street, it seems to me strange that a similar calico sign setting forth the Rev, G. C. Grubb’s mission should be suffered to hang across the street from the Garrison Hall unmolested for the past three days, Personally, 1 have not the slightest animosity against the £ey. 6. G. Grubb getting a cheap advertisement; but surely, what is sauce for the goo&e is sauce for the gander, and I fail to see why one case should be made an example of in the Police Court and the other taken no notice of by the inspector whatever.—l am, eto,, Fair Play.
