TRENTHAM, March 15. The weather is fine this morning, but dull, and a fresh wind is blowing across the range from the left. The Otago Match, which is the fifth counting for the belt, is proceeding, and it will be late in the afternoon before it is concluded. At 300 yards fair shooting was made, Reid, of Queenstown, being top scorer with 32 ; White and Neil, of the Peninsula, put on 31 ; and Hunting (Palmerston), Wilson (Wellington), and Ross (Napier), 30 each. Purnell pulled four points cn Ballinger, who was leading for the belt, and the pair aro on level terms with 260. Doughty improved his position a point, and is even with Jones, of W akaii, each being 255. Spiers is next with 255, and Ross, of Napier, follows with 251. Several of the others are close together. The firing at the 500 yards range was finished by lunch, the shooting being very good, notwithstanding that the wind was a Rttlo trwachoroviß. C. Cameron (Teoui) and Randal!
