The Second Fifteeu were also premiers—they played eight matohes and won eight; and the Third Fifteen were also to the front, aa out of eight matches they played they won six and lost two. Reference was also made in the report to the fact that a departure had been made in sending a team to Wellington, and though the club ould not send all their best men the game ended in their favor. The members of the team were highly gratified with their trip, and express great satisfaction at the hospitable way in which they were treated by the Athletics and by many old Dunedin footballers, notably Messrs Marchbanks and M. Driver, and Mr Albert Cohen, who was very kind in many ways to them. Thanks were also tendered to many kind supporters and friends of the club who managed and gave their services at the concert held in aid of the funds to defray the expenses of the trip, and also to the public who so well supported it and made it a financial success. Appended to the report were attached the record? of the club and its history. The Chairman, in proposing the adoption of the report, stated that he was very pleased to be the president of the club. He had always looked forward to their being tho premier team, and trusted to the loyalty of the members to support the captain. Ho hoped they would come out with as good a record at the end of this season as they had last, ilo also congratulated tho committee on the fact that over LIOO had been collected towards the expenses of the club, and expressed a hope that at the end of the year they would come out with a credit balance. THE PIRATES CLUB. The annual meeting of the Pirates Club rtda held in the City Hotel last night, and JUh attended by over fifty members. Mr F. J: Stilling (vice-president) occupied the chair.

The Committee, in their report, regretted that from a variety of reasons they were unable to congratulate the members upon the entire realisation of the favorable prospects with which the past season was opened. The club wtrj, however, dogged by misfortune all through the season, one player after another haviDg to retire on the casualty list, wi>h the result that as many as thirty-one members obtained a place in the First Fifteen, although only thirteen senior matches were played. The records of the various teams for the eeason were as follow:—First Fifteen : Matches played, 13 ; won, 5; lost, S; points for, 46; points against, 56. The annual report congratulated members on the plucky and determined way in which they contested the matches last season, and if tbiß spirit were again manifested during the present year mombers would have no reason to be ashi-med of their allegianoe to the Zingari Richmond. Throughout the whole season the ckb were always able to put three fifteens into the field, and the ! Committee saw no reason to doubt why this should not be the case during this year also. They trust, however, that members will be more prompt in the payment of their subscriptions than formerly, and from this cause the funds in hand showed a considerable diminution on those of last year, there being now only a small balance to the credit of the club. During the season the club had the pleasure of entertaining and beating the First Fifteen of the Oamaru Athletic Football Club, and the Committee hoped that a strong team would be got together for tho return visit on the 24th May. In conclusion, the Committee thanked members for the loyalty they had shown, both on the field and away from it, and to remind them that, although tho club had not been a very successful one, they had a reputation for honest and fair play, which they hoped every individual member would do his best to sustain during the coming season.
