WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.

WELLINGTON. Mabch 12.

The Rev. Dr Lucas, of the Wesleyan Churob, Canada, was introduced to the Conference this morning, and gave some account of the Methodist Union in the Dominion. The Conference passed a resolution commending Mr Luoas to the ohuroh in New Zealand as an advocate of Prohibition.

The Rev. C. H. Garland was appointed Conference leoturer for 1893, the subject of lecture being 'The bearing of higher oritioism on the leading evangelical doctrines. 1 '

The following were appointed a board of examiners for the ooming year: Revs, Morley, Gittos, Oliver, Simmonds, Dewsbury, Fairolougb, Luxford, Lawry, Dukes, Garland, and Parsonson. Obituary notices of the following ministers who have died during the year were read:— Revs. Alexander Reid and Honi Te Euri (Native minister).
