MISS MYRA KEMBLE.

Of this graceful actress, who makes her first appearance in Danedia on Thursday evening in the farcical comedy of 'Dr Bill,' at the Princess's Theatre, 'The Dramatic Peerage' has the following:— "Educated in a colopial convent in the Antipodes, Miss Myra Kemble (Mrs White) took to the stage soon after emancipation from its walk. She commenced her career in small pantomimo parts at the Theatre Royal, Melbourne, but before long gave such evidence of talent that she quickly rose to higher flights, and in a short period became one of the leading ladies of the colonial stage, which she adorned with manners and deportment peculiarly pleasing and refined. Whilst in Australia she married a wealthy American gentleman ; but, although removed from the necessity of following her profession, her innate love of the dramatic art would not permit of her retirement from the board?. In 1889 Bhe came to London and made her debut at a matMe at the Criterion Theatre, playing Gillian Dartmouth in ' Man and Woman,' by Robert Buchanan. In 1890 she appeared in 'Cerise and Co.,' written by Mrs Musgrave (the authoress of the phenomenally successful faroioal comedy ' Our Flat'), playing the role of Madame Cerise, the fashionable lady milliner, vhich enabled her to exploit a series of exquisite dresses."
