VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.
The Dunedin Irish Rifles fired the second of a Beries of handicap matches yesterday morning for prizes presented by Major Burns and Captain Toomey. The following were successful in securing points :—Vol. J. Simmonds, 5 points ; Lieutenant Simmonds, 4 points ; Vol. J. Bruton, 3 points : Vol. J. Eodgera, 2 points; Sergeant E. Power, 1 point. The North Dunedin Rifles fired the fourth and last competition for the company's belt and priz;s at their range, Pelichet Bay, recently. Conditions: Ten shots at 200 and 500 yard?.
