HARBOR BOARD REPORTS.

The following are summaries of the reports to be presented at to-morrow's meeting of the Harbor Board : The Finanoe Committee report that they cannot recommend any alteration in the charges against the ship Dee, as requested by Messrs Cuff and Graham; that the application by the captain of the Umvoti for a reduction on the berthage oharge, owing to delays occasioned by the smallpox, be granted, the charge to be reduced from Ll3 15s to L 1 0; that the National Mortgage Company, who applied forareductionof dues on the Akaroa, be written to and informed that, if the vessel does not load, the usual rule will be applied viz,, exempted from charges; and that accounts amounting to L 304 7s 7d have been passed for payment. The treasurer's return of revenue and expenditure for February shows an increase in the former of L 893 103, and a decrease in the latter of L 398 8s Id as compared with the same month last year, After providing for a month's interest on debentures, a net amount of L 1,058 8a 9d goes to the reduction of overdraft. The Works Committee report that some of their members, together with several members of the Board, visited the Heads and noted the alterations made by the late gales on the works and beaches. They approved of the action taken by the inspector, and would recommend that he be authorised to continue the protective wall on the same lines as be is proceeding, and so far as he deems it absolutely neosßsary. The chairman has been authorised to draw the attention of the Board to the death of Sir John Coode, and to ask instructions as to the plans, etc., sent Home last mail.— The Harbor-master drew attention to the growth of sand-knolls near Deborah Bay, and was authorised to try the effects of the harrows.
