THE UNIVERSITY SENATE.
WELLINGTON, Maroh 9. The chief difficulty the University Senate found in their way when the proposal to extend degrees to agriculture and engineering was discussed was the limitation of degrees by charter to arts and science. Stepa are uow being taken to have the charter enlarged. There is a probability that the junior scholarships, which were increased by two this year, will be again increased next session. The Senate have closed their session.
