Drunkenness.—A first offender (who did not appear), Richard Daniels (who did not appear), Catherine Stevenson, and James Phillips were eaoh fined ss, with the alternative of twenty-four hoars' imprisonment ; Ann Jane Seals, who smiled complacently when Sergeant-major Bevin said this was her seventy-fifth appearance, was sent to gaol for three months. Damaging Proverty. James Phillips was charged with, on Saturday uight, wilfully damaging a pane of glass, value 20s, the property of Isabella M'Millan, George street.—ConstableM'Raestated that aooused deliberately put his elbow through the wini dow.— Ac3iißed was fined 10s, and was ordered to pay for the damage done, in default a week's imprisonment. Disorderly Behaviour.— Mary Robinson was charged with, while drunk, behaving iu a. disorderly manner in Canongate street on Sunday night.—Evidence was given by Constable Worthington, after which accused was sentenced to a month's imprisonment, with hard labor.

Samuel Hill was charged with, while drunk, being guilty of disorderly conduct in Rattray street early this mornirig. —He pleaded that it was a weakness of his family to speak loud.—Constable Hastie gave evidence.—Accused asked to be let off, as he had his four children to attend to. —The Benoh admonished the accused for the bad example he was setting his family, and sentenced him to forty-eight hours' hard labor.
