Tannadice, hourly due at Port Darwin, for the conveyance of messages between Banjoewangi and that port during the continuance of the break. ADELAIDE, .Tni.T 12. Postmaster-General Todd is of opinion that the cables have been broken simultaneously near Banjoewangi owing to a volcanic eruption, and that the break has occurred in the deep gut separating bank sounding on the Asiatic side from bank sounding on the Australian side. Owing to the representations of members who took part in the railway caucus, the Government have decided to extend the limits of the new lines from 250 to 300 miles.
