At a meeting of the stewards of the Waikouaiti Racing Club, it was resolved to hold the annual race meeting on the 2nd January. The added money will be L 132 10s, divided among seven events, the principal of which are the Cup of 35 sovs, Trot of 20 sovs, District Handicap of 20 sovs, and Hawksbury Handicap of L 22 10s. The following nominations have been made for the V\ ellington Cup, one mile and a-half, run on February 6 next:—St. Malo, Cynisca, Alsace, Captain Cook, Tirailleur, Renata, Jet d'Eau, Sincerity, Recluse, Dudu, British Lion, Von Tempsky, Scots Grey, Rose Argent, Whisper, Leonore, Wolverine. Cruiser, Lady Florin, Foxton, Strephon, Kotuku, Retrenchment, Leopold, Corunna, Fabulous, Lady Norah, Quadrant, Wanganui, St. James, Don Pedro, Man Friday, Wakatipu, Repose, Tamora. Quadrant, Fabulous, Gipsy, Corunna, and Loch Nes3 have paid up for the Auckland Guineaß, to be run at the A.R.C. meeting on Monday week, THE V.R.C. MEETING.
