THE KAIAPOI FACTORY STRIKE.

Over 250 employees at the Kaiapoi Clothing Factory went out o,n strike at noon to-day in accordance with orders from the Union, because the company decline to acpede tc; the request ta employ only the Union's hands. Tho weekly wage hands gave $ week's notice. About seventy nonunion hands will remain. The company are receiving numerous applications for employment from all parts of the colony. The strike is not likely to affect the company's operations.
