As the cost of all legal advice obtained by land boards has to be borne by the Government, they have laid down a rule that in future their authority must first be obtained before the expense of consulting solicitors is incurred. Xne Wellington Board yesterday decided to obtain legal advice as to the power of that body to allow ono person to hold sepai ate sections in one Icaas. A couple of Texas sheep-raisers being in Austin went to church. On emerging from the sacred edifice one of them said : "I say, " You bet he was. He didn t talk about nothing except lost sheep. Got your pistol?" "Why certainly." "Then let's wait here till he comes out, and give him a chance to explain what he meant by them personal remarks."
