INQUIRY AT PALMERSTON.
WELLINGTON, October 28,
Mr H. S. Wardell, accompanied by Mr Gore (private secretary to the Minister of Lands), leaves for Palmerston South to-day to conduct an inquiry into the charges brought against the administration of the Stock Department in that district by John Norris and George Ross, whose petitions were before the Joint Live Stock Committee last session, but were reserved for further inquiry.
