The work at Riccarton this morning was of little interest. Whisper, who arrived yesterday, cantered three miles, moving well. Wakatipu galloped two miles, and Sultan moved very freely in good work over the same distance. Dudu, Alsace, and British Lion were galloped yesterday afternoon, and only cantered this morning. Merrie England was away from the track, but his trainer seems confident of getting one race out of the colt at the meeting. Reclnse was also an absentee, but was at work later in the day.
