VISIT OF A UNITED AUSTRALIAN TEAM.

By yesterday's mail Mr M. Mendershausen "received from Melbourne intimation that a united Australian team of bowlers would shortly visit this colony. It will be recollected that a New Zealand team went over to Melbourne and Sydney last November and made a creditable display, and the return visit, as promised, is now about to be made.

The following is the programme for the trip, and the intention of the promoters is to carry it out as arranged, allowing of course for accidents and other unforeseen circumstances that may crop up : —Starting on or about December 17 from Melbourne, play their first match at Dunedin against the Dunedin Club—will play Invercargill and Oamaru if time permits. Leave Dunedin by tail about December 29 for Christchurch, stopping there a few days. Arrive in Wellington on Jaduary 5, 1890, stay three days, and, if convenient, go on to Napier; from thence to Auckland—three days at Auokland—and then leave for Sydney, playing at Sydney according to matches arranged. the tearn.will be accompanied by the fol* lowing gentlemen:—Mr ft.
